Carrier Update: FedEx Suspends money-back guarantees & DHL increases rates

FedEx suspends money-back guarantees

  • Two weeks after reassuring holiday shippers that it could meet peak season delivery expectations, FedEx announced that it would suspend the money-back guarantee for failing to do just that on domestic and air express shipments, effective December 13. This is the third straight year for this suspension, despite a softening in the market.

DHL Express announces 7.9% rate increase

  • Shortly after UPS and FedEx announced General Rate Increases for 2023, averaging a historically high jump of 6.9%, DHL Express has stepped forward with a 7.9% rate hike for U.S account holders in 2023. In addition to the rate increase, a limited number of optional services and surcharges will also be adjusted.

Shipments to Military Addresses

  • To ensure timely holiday delivery, the USPS has announced mailing dates, as noted below, for military mail.
  • Priority Mail Express Military Service is available to select military/diplomatic Post Offices. check with your local Post Office to determine if this service is available to an APO/FPO/DPO address.
